Does anybody know if Punternet has closed down permanently?

Google AI Overview says:

PunterNet is not just temporarily down; the website permanently shut down in June 2026. [1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PunterNet)
• Status: Permanently closed (offline for good).
• History: Launched in 1999 as "Field Reports," the UK-based review and forum site operated for over 25 years before ceasing operations in June 2026. [1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PunterNet), [2] (https://www.instagram.com/popular/punternet/)

Shut before June 2026.
You got a message saying the owner called it a day, but as he had paid his hosting fee, the site still appeared but you couldn`t post or view anything - basically put in hibernation.

When the hosting period ran out, it disappeared for good.

Yeah, it had been pretty useless for a while.
